Ex Uber Employee Claims Others Used Company Technology To Track Famous Clients, Including Beyoncé

Gambar
Today in skeevy tech news, the Guardian reports that Uber employees have allegedly tracked Beyoncé's comings-and-goings by using the company's "God View" data, according to information disclosed in court documents. The claims come from the company's former forensic investigator, Samuel Ward Spangenberg, who is currently suing Uber, alleging that age discrimination and whistleblower retaliation resulted in his being fired. In an official court statement, Spangenberg also said that he approached his bosses over breaches in ethics that included storing employee and customer data in an unsafe manner. The aforementioned "God View" tool was created by the company to investigate accidents and refund-claims, but was also used by some employees to gather data on politicians, celebrities (like Beyoncé), and even personal acquaintances and exes. While Uber has admitted that there were some unethical uses of the "God View,"

Watch Big Sean’s Hyper Colorful “Bounce Back” Video

Big Sean - Bounce Back As we awoke from our makeup-strewn Halloween hangover to face the harsh realities of November, we noticed that Big Sean had left us a little gift. This gift came in the form of two singles: “ Bounce Back ” and “ No More Interviews ,” the latter of which is widely understood to contain a mild diss at Kid Cudi. Now, Big Sean has shared a music video for “Bounce Back,” and it is stunningly beautiful. Filmed in heavily-saturated color hues, the visual is a surreal clash of imagery that feels like a contained work of science fiction. It is Sean’s first video release in a while, with his last work coming from some accompaniments to this year’s Twenty88, a duo he formed with Jhené Aiko (with an impending sequel recently announced). No word yet on whether “Bounce Back” or “No More Interviews” will appear on an upcoming Sean solo album, but it never hurts to dream.

The Weeknd, Tove Lo And The Art Of The Hot Mess

Gambar
The Weeknd courts our shadow sides on his new album, Starboy. Courtesy of the artist    America loves a hot mess. Added by Oxford Dictionaries in August 2014, that phrase connotes "a person or thing that is spectacularly unsuccessful or disordered, especially one that is a source of peculiar fascination." The roots of hot mess attraction in popular music go as far back as the blues. We love transmissions from and about our shadow sides — secret pains, forbidden longings, destructive urges kept barely in check. Consider classic rock cyclones like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison, who combined exceptional talent and all-too-human emotion. Excess, both offstage and on, fed their legends. Long before sex addiction became a commonly understood concept, Tesfaye and Nilsson write from a knowing per
